Andre Reed identifies as a trans male and was assigned female at birth. He was born in Indiana. His dad was stationed in Georgia at Fort Benning where he lived. His father was later stationed in Germany but him and his mother stayed in Georgia. When his dad got back from Germany, he got out of the military and then they divorced while Reed was in middle school. He has an older and younger brother. He worked at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis for almost 9 years where he began to transition. He started hormone replacement therapy in 2010 and then had top surgery in 2014.
